Summary

Senior Business Analyst embedded with a financial institution to lead modernization efforts, translating stakeholder needs into clear requirements while coordinating between business, UX, and technical teams.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a large-scale business transformation and modernization initiative for a formal, structured financial institution. This is a deeply embedded, client-facing role: you will sit at the intersection of business stakeholders, the UX team, and multiple technical teams, translating stakeholder needs into feasible, well-scoped requirements.

Responsibilities
Work directly with client stakeholders across many departments to elicit, understand, and document their needs.
Define and map current state vs. future state processes as part of a major modernization effort.
Plan and run workshops and working sessions with stakeholders, including on-site sessions.
Liaise between business stakeholders and technical teams - including a third-party team responsible for maintaining and upgrading the back end and the in-house implementation team responsible for the front end - to validate that requested changes are feasible, within capability, and minimize changes to the back end.
Assess, at a directional level, whether a requested change is likely to be a large or small technical lift, and communicate that to the technical teams for discussion.

Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of Business Analyst experience on digital products or software delivery teams, with client-facing responsibilities - comfortable operating as an embedded resource on the client side.
Corporate & financial background: Experience with formal, structured, corporate-style organizations - preferably a banking or financial institution - and at ease stepping into that kind of environment.
Transformation experience: Hands-on work on modernization or business transformation initiatives involving complex enterprise software - including current-state/future-state definition and navigating multiple stakeholders and user archetypes.
Technical fluency: Enough technical understanding to gauge whether a change is a large or small lift and to hold your own in conversations with engineering teams.
Requirements mastery: You consistently produce requirements that reduce ambiguity and rework - clear stories, strong acceptance criteria, and well-documented rules and flows.
Delivery fluency: Comfortable in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban); experienced supporting refinement, sprint planning, demos, and iterative releases.
Analytical mindset: Strong problem decomposition, structured thinking, and the ability to use data/metrics to clarify decisions and measure outcomes.
English proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English - comfortable leading workshops, documenting decisions and requirements, and communicating delivery tradeoffs with senior stakeholders.
Tooling familiarity: Jira and Confluence, AI and collaboration tools, comfort working alongside UX systems (e.g., Figma prototypes).
Time zone alignment: Able to work with meaningful overlap in European & US hours.
Travel: Willingness to travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia up to four times per year (roughly quarterly) for on-site workshops and sessions.

Strong Pluses / Nice to Have
Experience with a multilateral development bank (MDB) or another financial institution.
Prior consulting or professional services background (e.g., a formalized professional services firm).
SAP exposure - experience on a project that was SAP-related or SAP-adjacent (the client environment involves SAP HANA and a Fiori front end, with a new front end being designed in React); direct hands-on SAP work is not required.
Cultural familiarity with Saudi Arabia or the Middle East - through language, heritage, or past work experience in the region.
Arabic language skills.
