Reporting to the Architectural Specialties (AS) Pricing & Data Analytics Manager, the AS Business Analyst supports the AS business by providing pricing administration, reporting and data analytics that result in actionable business insights. This role ensures pricing integrity across systems, delivers analysis on sales performance, quoting activity, close rates, margins, and pipeline trends and supports new product pricing initiatives. This position works cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Operations to drive pricing effectiveness, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

Price List & Quoting Ownership and Governance

  • Oversees and governs the administration of AS price lists and product metadata, setting standards and ensuring sustained accuracy and alignment with business and pricing rules.
  • Serves as the lead analytical resource for AS pricing systems, ensuring quoting tools are accurately configured, competitively positioned, and aligned with margin and commercial objectives.
  • Owns exception handling and recommends policy or rule changes to address recurring pricing, margin, or system issues.

Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Acts as the go‑to resource for AS sales analytics, quoting activity, pipeline performance, and margin insights, delivering concise, decision‑ready summaries for leadership.
  • Translates complex data into clear, structured insights that explain performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Applies AI‑assisted tools and advanced analytics to improve forecasting accuracy, uncover patterns, and enhance reporting efficiency and scalability.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Support

  • Partners with AS P&L Leaders, Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Finance to provide strategic pricing, competitive positioning, and margin guidance.
  • Supports product launches, customer reviews, and regular business updates with actionable analytics and scenario-based insights.
  • Influences pricing and quoting decisions through data‑driven recommendations and cross‑functional alignment.

Project & Initiative Leadership

  • Leads cross‑functional projects to integrate acquisition pricing data, incorporate new key metrics, and improve pricing accuracy and quoting tool functionality.
  • Evaluates, pilots, and implements AI‑assisted and automation tools to streamline pricing processes, improve data quality, and enhance analytical capabilities.

What will make you successful

  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment to assess the accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of data and information.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SAP / BW and Salesforce; experience with Tableau or similar BI tools preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret pricing, quoting, and sales data to support reporting and business decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment; demonstrates initiative and accountability for results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and appropriately across different levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Operations.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and consistent results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with employees at all organizational levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, analytics, information systems, or a related field required.
  • Advanced coursework or certifications in analytics, finance, or pricing preferred.
  • 5 or more years of directly related experience in pricing analysis, business analytics, sales or commercial analytics, or a similar role with increasing responsibility and complexity required.
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex data into actionable insights and supporting decision‑making with cross‑functional stakeholders preferred.
