Senior Business Analyst – Risk and Compliance Systems
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is implementing an enterprise integrity risk management system. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support the implementation, working with business stakeholders to define requirements, validate vendor solutions and prepare the business for go-live.
You will work closely with business owners, a product working group, testers and vendors to strengthen requirements definition, process analysis, solution validation and user acceptance, and to hand the solution over to support teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Define, document and validate requirements: turn business needs into functional requirements, user stories, business rules, process flows and acceptance criteria, and keep traceability through to release.
• Review vendor deliverables and challenge proposed solutions so they match approved requirements and business outcomes.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint and release planning, and testing of risk assessment, screening, monitoring and approval workflows.
• Support data migration (mapping, reconciliation, quality checks) and integration with internal and external systems.
• Prepare deployment and transition plans, runbooks and go-live documentation, and support release validation and post-production monitoring.
• Hand over to BAU support teams and support the early life support period, working with a product working group, business users, testers and vendors.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Must-have
• Degree in Computer Science or a related course.
• At least 8 years in business analysis, including 3 years in a senior BA role on IT solution implementation and system integration.
• At least 5 years in solution design and documenting business processes.
• At least 5 years in quality assurance and testing of IT applications.
• Demonstrated experience writing business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps.
• Strong experience reviewing vendor solution designs against approved requirements.
• Experience with enterprise workflow platforms, case management, risk assessment or compliance systems, or similar applications.
• Experience supporting data migration and system integrations, APIs and data exchanges.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Agile methodology and the systems development lifecycle.
• Skilled with Microsoft tools such as SharePoint and Teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-have
• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Understanding of development finance, sovereign and non-sovereign operations, or integrity due diligence processes.
• Familiarity with due diligence, sanctions and adverse media screening, KYC, AML, fraud or integrity risk management, and compliance monitoring.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, compliance platforms, workflow automation and analytics tools.
