Senior Business Analyst

SISU Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a federal government department delivering an enterprise-wide Records Modernisation Platform. The solution is being configured and deployed, and you’ll gather and analyse further business requirements so it’s fit for purpose for current and future users.

You’ll be the key link between the technology and business teams, turning business needs into clear, validated requirements that drive successful delivery

What you’ll be doing

• Documenting current-state (AS-IS) processes and designing target-state (TO-BE) process maps

• Eliciting and validating requirements with business areas, internal stakeholders and service providers

• Creating specifications and acceptance criteria collaboratively with the project team

• Developing business cases from engagement findings

• Providing expert advice on complex problems, including presentations and walk-throughs

• Supporting testing activities across multiple projects

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of Business Analysis experience, ideally in the Australian Federal Government

• Strong process modelling skills, including process maps, swim lanes, workflows, business rules and decision points

• Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders, resolve conflicting needs and gain agreement on future-state processes

• Experience translating requirements into workable workflows, roles, controls and operating procedures

• The ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team

• Highly regarded: experience on records management initiatives and knowledge of Records and Information Management concepts
