Summary

Superloop, an ASX-listed Australian telco, is hiring a Senior Business Analyst in Sydney to lead analysis on complex transformation and migration programs — initially mapping Neoloop's current business processes and designing scalable future-state processes across product, commercial, customer, operations, finance and technology functions.

Company Overview

Founded in 2014, and listed on the ASX since 2015, Superloop’s purpose is to enable better internet for Australian homes and businesses through reimagining how telco should be delivered. We enable challenger retail brands (including Superloop and Exetel brands) to take a larger share of the market, leveraging Superloop’s Infrastructure-on-Demand platform. Superloop provides connectivity and services to customers in three segments of the market: Consumer, Business and Wholesale. Through Smart Communities, we own and operate extensive fibre to the premises (FTTP) and managed Wi-Fi networks that service residential and commercial communities including multi-unit dwellings. Through Neoloop we offer open access to our FTTP networks to other Retail Service Providers. Our offerings leverage Superloop’s investments in physical infrastructure assets that include fibre, subsea cables and fixed wireless, as well as Superloop’s software platforms. Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses rely on Superloop and Exetel every day for their connectivity needs.

Business Unit Overview

Our Product unit guides every stage of the product lifecycle. The team is responsible for the development and positioning of our products, balancing our internal capabilities with market demand. Ultimately, the unit is focused on building the best possible products through customer advocacy, insight from the market, and the optimisation of our capabilities.

Role Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst will provide senior analysis leadership across complex transformational initiatives spanning multiple business units. The role will work with business and technology stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, clarify scope, elicit and prioritise requirements, and translate complex needs into practical business, process, data and system outcomes.

An initial priority of the role will be to document and map Neoloop’s existing business processes and design clear, scalable future-state processes as the business evolves. Working across product, commercial, customer, operations, finance, people and technology functions, the role will identify process gaps, dependencies, controls and improvement opportunities; define ownership and hand-offs; and support solution design, testing, implementation, business readiness, and the transition into sustainable business-as-usual operations.

As these priorities are delivered, the role will evolve to support broader strategic transformation, integration and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis for transformational projects across product, commercial, customer, process, data and technology workstreams.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders and stream owners to define scope, outcomes, priorities, decision points and acceptance criteria.

  • Plan and facilitate complex discovery, requirements gathering, process design and decision-making workshops across multiple business units.

  • Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritisation, traceability and change control.

  • Translate strategic and commercial objectives into clear business, functional, non-functional, data, integration and reporting requirements.

  • Develop current-state and target-state process models, customer journeys, capability maps, gap assessments and operating model impacts.

  • Analyse product, pricing, contract, customer, network and system dependencies to support rationalisation and migration decisions.

  • Define data mapping, interface requirements, reconciliation controls and transition rules for customer and system migrations.

  • Maintain analysis artefacts and provide clear visibility of assumptions, dependencies, issues, risks, decisions and benefits.

  • Support solution design, test strategy, acceptance criteria, defect triage, cutover planning and business readiness activities.

  • Assess change impacts and work with product, commercial, operations, technology and customer teams to embed target-state processes.

  • Provide evidence-based recommendations and concise executive-level insights to enable timely decision-making.

  • Support the transition of completed transformational project activities into sustainable business-as-usual ownership and governance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Information Technology or a related field; relevant business analysis certification is desirable.

  • Typically 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, including substantial experience leading analysis on complex transformation, integration or migration programs.

  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives, product leaders, commercial teams, technology teams and cross-functional delivery stakeholders.

  • Strong capability in requirements engineering, process modelling, operating model design, gap analysis, business case development and benefits definition.

  • Proven experience with product and service integration, customer migration, system rationalisation, data mapping and interface analysis.

  • Experience translating commercial objectives, pricing or contractual considerations into implementable business and system requirements.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, APIs, data flows, controls, reporting and end-to-end operational processes.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting test planning, user acceptance testing, cutover, readiness activities and transition to business as usual.

  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, critical thinking and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence decisions.

  • Ability to produce high-quality executive papers, requirements specifications, process models, decision records and implementation artefacts.

  • Telecommunications, product management, commercial transformation or merger integration experience is highly desirable.

On Offer

  • Free Home Broadband

  • Free Mobile SIM plan

  • Flexibility – 3 days/week in the office

  • Lunch on Wednesdays, snacks, donuts and more!

  • Diverse and inclusive culture

  • Gain skills and build relationships to succeed in the telco and tech industries, at Superloop and beyond.
