As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in driving business and technology initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to understand complex challenges, define requirements and deliver practical solutions. Working across a range of strategic projects, you'll leverage your analytical expertise to improve processes, enhance customer experiences and support the successful delivery of business outcomes. This is an opportunity to work with a broad network of stakeholders, influence decision-making and contribute to meaningful change that aligns with TAL's purpose of protecting people, not just things.

In this role you will:

• Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams and vendors to identify opportunities, define requirements and shape solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Lead workshops, gather and document business requirements, and translate complex needs into clear functional specifications and actionable outcomes.
• Analyse current and future-state business processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, customer outcomes and operational performance.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing insights, challenging assumptions and influencing decision-making throughout project delivery.
• Support the successful implementation of solutions by collaborating across cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities and ensuring business objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Commerce or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within financial services, insurance, banking or a similarly regulated environment is highly desirable Familiarity with compliance, regulatory frameworks or risk controls is an asset.
• Strong requirements elicitation, process mapping and business analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex functional and non-functional requirements, process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria into clear, high-quality documentation
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and build credibility with senior leaders and diverse business groups.
• Experience working on large-scale business transformation, technology implementation or process improvement initiatives, with working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
• A naturally curious and analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving capability and a passion for delivering positive customer and business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience using business analysis and collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), Visio and ServiceNow, with exposure to Power BI and SQL highly regarded.
