Senior Business Architect
Summary
Designs and refines payment-processing platforms for cashless transactions, focusing on issuing solutions while balancing security, cost, and complexity in a distributed system environment.
The opportunity
As a business architect in an international team with focus to Issuing solutions you will design future-proof processing platforms for cashless payment transactions. You will consider various factors such as robustness, security, time and cost pressure, while also keeping complexity as low as possible. You will be required to refine and adapt the Target Application Landscape for several on-going platform consolidations and integrations whilst ensuring that the existing business keeps on running smoothly. Consulting business representatives and clients as well as designing innovative solutions during pre-sales and implementation processes complete your daily work.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Define architectural concepts and solutions in a complex distributed system environment with focus to Issuing solutions for new customer requests, consolidation and product developments initiatives
- Elaborate and update the High Level Design documentation
- Involve and exchange with different internal stakeholder for specific contribution (e.g. special cloud competence, infrastructure, security, BCM etc.)
- Contribute and refine target application landscape / roadmap for the Issuing solutions
- Provide clear, comprehensive and complete bases for decisions
- Support sales during pre-sales phases
- Collaborate closely with different stakeholder e.g. management, product management, requirements engineering
Who are we looking for

- Degree (FH / University) preferably in computer science or engineering
- Proven working experience in similar work environments preferably as Business/Application Architect, Business Analyst or Business Requirements Engineer
- Experience in Financial/Payment industry
- Experience and good network in Austrian Financial/Payment industry is a plus
- Solid understanding or hands-on experience in software
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Clear and concise in communication
- Quick thinking, team player, high level of initiative
- Fluent in English and good understanding of the local language (German)
