Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst (Data Enablement) to support enterprise data transformation and enablement initiatives. This role focuses on understanding business requirements for data usage, reporting and analytics, while working closely with technical teams to translate business needs into actionable data solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing data accessibility, data quality and user adoption across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements related to reporting, analytics, decision support and data consumption.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and platform teams to translate business requirements into clear data and functional specifications.
• Support data enablement initiatives including data documentation, data discoverability, user guidance and adoption activities.
• Coordinate with governance and business teams to establish data definitions, standards and best practices.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, testing activities and post-implementation reviews while supporting continuous platform improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in business analysis, data enablement, data platform delivery or related functions.
• Experience working with enterprise data platforms, data warehouses or large-scale data environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, reporting processes and data lifecycle concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical teams.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) with experience in financial services or government projects being advantageous.
