Location: Hybrid - Washington, DC metropolitan area. Work will primarily support the client on-site in the Washington, DC area, with some work performed offsite at the contractor facility. Telework is available subject to coordination with the Government Technical Monitor (GTM) and completion of the client’s required telework agreement.

Contract: Supporting a federal government client’s enterprise IT modernization program. Potential five-year period of performance, contingent upon contract award.

Clearance/Screening Requirements: Active Secret security clearance required prior to contract performance. Contractor personnel must comply with the client’s security requirements and execute required nondisclosure agreements.

Position Summary:

PBG’s McLean, VA office is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support a federal government client’s enterprise IT system. This Key Personnel role will serve as a bridge between Government stakeholders and the technical delivery team by eliciting and documenting business requirements, translating needs into actionable user stories, supporting software and user acceptance testing, and helping ensure system enhancements meet operational needs, while also supporting functional documentation, training materials, defect tracking, and core Agile/Scrum ceremonies throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst shall be responsible for the following (subject to evolving needs):

  • Collaborate with Government and project stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, process flows, system needs, and enhancement requests.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements and user stories for the technical delivery team.
  • Support software and system testing activities, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Develop and execute test cases and test scripts, document defects and issues in tracking tools, and support validation that implemented solutions meet business needs.
  • Coordinate UAT with stakeholders and work with users to validate system functionality and enhancements.
  • Coordinate with developers and other technical staff to clarify requirements and confirm that approved requirements are accurately implemented.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining functional documentation, reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training decks, user guides, and related materials.
  • Lead and coordinate core Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
  • Support project status, enhancement, testing, and change-management activities required for effective system operations and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach and communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and Government users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with software/system testing, including functional, regression, or UAT activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document requirements effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases and test scripts and documenting defects/issues in tracking tools.
  • Ability to support QA teams in test planning and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Active Secret security clearance required prior to contract performance.
