Summary
Foodhub is hiring a Senior BI Developer/Analyst in Chennai to turn business data into reliable dashboards and reports. Day to day they build Power BI or QuickSight dashboards, write and tune SQL, model data, automate recurring reports, and present KPI insights to business stakeholders while mentoring junior analysts.
We are looking for a Senior BI Developer with 3-4 years of experience to turn business
data into clear, reliable reports and dashboards. You will work closely with business teams
to understand their questions, build the data models behind the answers, and present
insights that support better decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI orAmazon QuickSight.
Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data from multiple
sources.
- Build and maintain data models, datasets and calculated fields that support reporting
needs.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business questions into
KPIs and reports.
- Analyse trends, patterns and performance metrics, and share clear insights with
business teams.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency through regular checks and validation.
- Automate recurring reports and improve existing dashboards for performance and
usability.
- Document data sources, report logic and definitions of key metrics.
Support and guide junior analysts or developers on BI best practices.
- Ability to explain data findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business or a related
field.

Experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
- Familiarity with ETL tools or data pipeline concepts.
- Exposure to AWS services such as S3, Athena or Redshift.
- Experience in a SaaS, e-commerce or customer support analytics environment.
- Understanding of basic forecasting or predictive analytics.
Requirements
Required skills and qualifications:
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience in BI development, reporting or data analytics.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions and query
tuning.
- Practical experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling) orAmazon
QuickSight (datasets, calculated fields, SPICE).
Good understanding of analytics concepts such as KPIs, trend analysis, cohort analysis
and basic statistics.
- Experience working with relational databases or cloud data warehouses (e.g. MySQL,
PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake).
