Senior Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to give the group one trusted view of how each business is performing. You will turn data spread across our subsidiaries' systems into dashboards, reports and analysis that executives and business teams use to make decisions.

This is a hands-on senior role. You will design the data model, build the pipelines and dashboards yourself, and help set the standards for how the group defines, governs and uses its data. You will work closely with business leaders, finance, operations and the technology team.

Key responsibilities

BI roadmap and tooling

• Contribute to the group's BI roadmap, helping prioritise the reports and metrics that matter most to leadership.

• Evaluate and recommend BI tools and data platform options, and support vendor assessments.

• Implement a standardized set of KPI definitions across subsidiaries.

Data engineering and modelling

• Design and maintain the data warehouse or lakehouse and its dimensional models.

• Build and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines from source systems such as ERP, CRM, POS, trading and finance platforms.

• Ensure data quality through validation, reconciliation and automated monitoring

• Ensure data governance and AI readiness

Reporting and analytics

• Build executive dashboards and self-service reports for group leadership and each subsidiary.

• Deliver ad-hoc analysis on performance, customers, costs and growth opportunities, and present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.

• Automate recurring management and board reporting to replace manual spreadsheet work.

Data governance and security

• Implement data access, ownership and documentation standards, including a data dictionary.

• Ensure handling of personal and financial data complies with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and relevant regulator requirements.

Stakeholder management and mentoring

• Work directly with business units to gather requirements and manage delivery priorities.

• Train business users on self-service reporting and promote data-driven decision-making.

• Mentor junior analysts, review their work and share BI best practices.

• Mentor business units in using data source into build their own dashboard with AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems or a related field.

• 5+ years in business intelligence, data analytics or data engineering, including delivering BI projects end to end.

• Advanced SQL and strong data modelling skills (star schema, dimensional modelling).

• Hands-on experience with a major BI tool, ideally Amazon QuickSight.

• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS data services, such as S3, Glue, Redshift and Athena.

• Proven ability to translate business questions into metrics, dashboards and clear recommendations.

• Strong communication skills in Thai and English, including presenting to senior executives.

• Experience in a multi-company group or holding structure, consolidating data across several businesses is preferred.

• Background in financial services, securities or retail/consumer businesses is preferred.

• Python or R for data processing, automation or statistical analysis is a plus.

• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow or Fivetran, and with Git-based workflows is preferred.

• Experience implementing data governance, data catalogue or master data management practices.

• Working knowledge of PDPA and data security requirements for regulated industries is preferred.

• Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, is a plus.
