Senior Business Process Analyst

Summary

Analyze and improve service delivery processes for a government disability client. Day-to-day involves process mapping, data analysis, and collaborating with design teams using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Salary: $120.00 - $140.00 phr (incl. super) 7.5 hour days

  • 6 + 6 months, $$$ negotiable
  • Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide + Hybrid WFH
  • Baseline security clearance required

Our client, a Federal Government Department focused on helping the disability community is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to join their team in late October 2026.

Duties:

  • Undertaking current-state process mapping of the participant pathway and back-of-house functions
  • Developing and executing time and motion studies to support analysis of handling times
  • Collect and analyse various data sources to develop recommendations for process improvements
  • Work with service design teams, business analysts, UI/UX designers and business stakeholders to drive collaboration on viable solutions

Skills & Experience:

  • Process Improvement and Process Mapping Expertise Demonstrated experience undertaking end-to-end process analysis, current-state and future-state process mapping, identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvement initiatives in complex service delivery environments.
  • Analytical and Evidence-Based Decision Making Proven ability to collect, analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data, including time and motion studies, to identify trends, develop insights and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience in Human-Centred Design or Service Design Experience applying service design, customer experience, human-centred design or co-design approaches to improve services, processes or customer journeys.
  • Process Improvement Methodologies and Tools Knowledge of and experience applying recognised process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), Continuous Improvement or similar frameworks.
