We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join an international team developing a state-of-the-art electronic trading platform used in global financial markets. This is an opportunity to work with modern C++ technologies, ultra-low latency systems, and highly distributed trading architectures in a fast-paced investment banking environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance components within a low-latency electronic trading platform
  • Develop and enhance algorithmic trading models, trading frameworks, market data distribution systems, and exchange connectivity layers
  • Contribute to the evolution of ultra-low latency trading architecture using cutting-edge software and hardware technologies
  • Ensure software quality, performance, security, and reliability across all platform components
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including technical analysis, design, development, testing, code reviews, deployment, and support
  • Collaborate closely with business, engineering, production support, and global development teams
  • Support CI/CD processes, platform maintenance, and issue resolution
  • Contribute to greenfield initiatives and drive innovation across the trading platform ecosystem
  • Optimize application performance and system scalability in high-throughput environments
  • Work within Agile teams, contributing to continuous improvement and engineering excellence


Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Strong expertise in C++ (11/14/17/20)
  • Solid understanding of STL, Boost, and modern C++ development practices
  • Experience developing high-performance, real-time, or distributed systems
  • Experience with electronic trading platforms, financial systems, or ultra-low latency applications is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Solid Linux experience, including development tools such as GCC, GDB, CMake
  • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with software modernization, migration, or refactoring initiatives
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Python knowledge is a plus
  • Bash scripting and Unix/Linux scripting experience is a plus
  • Fluent English

Lisbon or Porto – Hybrid (3x/office)
