Senior C++ & Impala Engineer at BairesDev
As a Senior C++ & Impala Engineer, you will drive the performance optimization of our distributed query engines. You will lead benchmarking initiatives at scale and collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate system bottlenecks.
What You'll Do:
- Architect and implement high-performance engine components using C++ to support massive data workloads.
- Design and execute comprehensive benchmarking strategies to measure and analyze distributed systems performance.
- Investigate, profile, and resolve complex bottlenecks related to memory, networking, CPU, and I/O.
- Drive cross-team optimization initiatives to enhance query execution speed and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for systems-level development and query engine design.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Performance, or a related role.
- Proven expertise in C/C++ programming and performance tuning.
- Deep understanding of Impala or other distributed query engines.
- Strong knowledge of CPU architecture and systems-level optimization including memory, networking, and I/O.
- Experience defining benchmarking strategies at scale and leading cross-team optimization efforts.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
