Senior Card Management System Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Card Management System Analyst to join a project focused on enhancing the mobile banking ecosystem through the development of innovative customer-facing financial products. The role involves documenting payment processes and Compass Payment integrations, translating business needs into detailed system requirements, defining system data and behavior, and supporting implementation from specification alignment through final acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into detailed system requirements
• Define system data and behavior for customer-facing financial products
• Support implementation from specification alignment through final acceptance
• Gather, clarify, and structure requirements, identifying inconsistencies, dependencies, constraints, and undocumented scenarios
• Prepare functional and integration specifications, use cases, business rules, and testable acceptance criteria
• Document requests and responses, mandatory fields, data formats, error codes, and validation rules
• Validate records, relationships, statuses, and transaction processing results
• Align requirements with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams
• Keep documentation up to date as requirements evolve

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in system analysis of payment or banking solutions, including preparing requirements for development and supporting system integrations
• Experience analyzing processes and integrations within Compass Payment, with a solid understanding of the functionality of the platform modules
• Strong understanding of the payment lifecycle: transaction initiation and processing, status changes, declines, cancellations, refunds, and validation of final transaction outcomes
• Knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, and JSON, including the ability to document requests and responses, mandatory fields, data formats, error codes, and validation rules
• Experience with data modeling and data mapping; proficiency in SQL for validating records, relationships, statuses, and transaction processing results
• Proficiency in UML or BPMN for documenting processes, states, and component interaction sequences
• Understanding of idempotency, retry mechanisms, timeouts, asynchronous processing, and scenarios involving uncertain payment outcomes
• Proficiency in English and Russian at a B2+ level
• Availability to work in GMT+5 time zone is mandatory

Nice to have

• Experience implementing, migrating, or significantly enhancing payment platforms
• Experience documenting transaction reconciliation processes and restoring data consistency across systems
• Experience analyzing integrations based on message queues and event-driven communication
• Ability to read code and analyze technical logs to understand and validate actual system behavior
• Experience defining non-functional requirements for the performance, security, and availability of payment services
