Senior Civil & Structural Engineer

ISS International SpA is looking for a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer in New Cairo for developments of Onshore/Offshore Oil & Gas Projects in Egypt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve civil and structural engineering deliverables including AFC drawings, design calculations, and material submittals for buildings, foundations, steel structures, and infrastructure systems

  • Perform technical evaluation of structural analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards

  • Manage and coordinate interdisciplinary design activities (IDC process) to ensure proper integration between civil, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines

  • Provide direct technical support to site teams by reviewing and closing the submitted Field Change Notifications (FCNs) and Technical Queries (TQs)

  • Monitor construction activities and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements

  • Develop and structure WBS for civil/structural scope, identify project activities, and support planning team in scheduling, progress tracking, and forecasting

  • Review and validate contractor progress reports, productivity data, and performance indicators

  • Conduct technical evaluation and prequalification of subcontractors, suppliers, and fabrication facilities (concrete batching plants, steel workshops, etc.)

  • Participate in procurement activities including preparation and review of purchase requisitions and technical bid evaluations

  • Interface with client, contractors, and vendors through regular meetings to ensure alignment on progress, technical issues, and project priorities

  • Supervise maintenance, repair, and modification works during plant shutdowns and turnarounds

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

  • Minimum 12 years of experience with at least 7 in the Oil & Gas Industry

  • Proven experience on project basic, FEED and details engineering for at least 8 years in Civil and Structural Engineering

Some details of the position:

  • Location: New Cairo, Egypt;

  • Expected Starting date: July 2026;

  • Duration: 12 months, with high possibility of extension;

  • Working schedule: 8 hours / day, 5 days/week;

  • Rotation: Resident (one month of leave days/year)
