The Role:

In general, work will primarily be the drafting of drawings and computer aided design of projects and/or project elements (largely earthworks related), taking projects from conceptual designs through refined 3D CAD models, and then to the production of detailed design drawings. Additional duties will include the calculation of various quantities from 3D models and aiding others in refining and drafting their designs.

An Ideal Candidate:

· Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or related fields.

· Registered as a Professional Engineer.

· 10 years of work experience related to mining, hydropower, and/or infrastructure project development with a strong background in geotechnical analysis.

· Advanced proficiency in Autodesk infrastructure design tools (e.g., Civil 3D, InfraWorks), and experience with GIS, hydraulic, hydrotechnical, and geotechnical software.

· Proven experience and ability for project/client management.

· Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated capability to work cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams.

· Under minimal supervision, completes complex design tasks, CAD assignments, and prepare designs for visualizations and presentations.

· Analyses and provides recommendations and makes decisions requiring independent judgement and proficient knowledge of relevant engineering and scientific theory, principles and practices.

· Maintains outstanding relationships with internal/external clients, fostering a collaborative environment within project development.

· Provides technical guidance and assists with training of junior technicians.

· Provides input/recommendations to developing improved CAD systems and procedures.

· Take responsibility for successful delivery of work on time and on budget.

· Fluent in English.
