Senior Civil Engineer - Buildings
About the role
Our established and vibrant Buildings Civil team is experiencing strong growth and is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join the team. This role is suitable for a qualified candidate who enjoys working on a diverse range of projects and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality civil engineering outcomes.
This role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors. Projects range from early master planning and concept design through to detailed design, construction documentation and construction phase inspections
You’ll be part of a well-established and growing team of professional engineers, delivering impactful projects across sectors such as health, defence, data centres, education, sports and leisure and commercial residential buildings.
Successful applicants will have a strong technical design background in earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water network design, along with consulting engineering and project delivery experience. Responsibilities include\:
- Deliver quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects.
- Act as a Lead Civil Engineer on projects as appropriate
- Ideally have experience dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies
- Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities.
- Prioritise workloads whilst ensuring our clients needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleague's both locally and across the international Stantec team.
- Build and develop your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
- Maintain an appropriate level of service to Clients.
- Assist with project management and business development.
- Support Lead Engineers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.
- Execute project design, documentation and contract administration services including regular project reviews.
- Be accurate, diligent and professional.
- Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants.
