Job Summary

Opportunity for an experienced civil structural engineer to support offshore oil and gas engineering projects across concept development, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases.
The role involves delivering high quality engineering solutions within a multi-discipline project environment while ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and operational standards.
Ideal for candidates with strong offshore structural engineering experience and a background in major energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and engineering support for offshore civil and structural engineering projects.
• Deliver engineering activities from concept definition through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with company engineering standards, safety procedures, environmental requirements, and industry codes.
• Conduct engineering studies, technical assessments, and in-house site surveys.
• Review technical deviations, variations, and engineering documentation for compliance with approved standards and practices.
• Support the review and development of internal engineering standards and amendments to external codes.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.
• Develop and review engineering scopes of work, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Review and approve contractor method statements and resolve technical issues where required.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations and contractor assessment activities.
• Review and assess contract variations and engineering change requests.
• Support knowledge sharing and development of technical competency within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
• Chartered engineer, professional engineer, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years post graduate engineering experience.
• Minimum 6 years experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of offshore civil and structural engineering standards, codes, and industry practices.
• Proven ability to manage engineering quality, cost, and schedule within multi-project environments.
• Experience supporting FEED, detailed design, and commissioning activities.
• Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
• Fluent English communication skills required.
