About the role\:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Stantec team at our Perth CBD office. We’ve been appointed a big engineering project (DES) with a ‘’Blue chip’’ Iron Ore Miner and we need a Senior Civil Engineer now!
As our Senior Civil Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the project’s Lead Civil Engineer and have the following key responsibilities\:
- To set the highest standard of technical and professional capability within the Stantec project team within the discipline;
- Provide technical guidance within the discipline for the project;
- Be aware of the project deliverables, budget and scheduled requirements;
- Undertake the project design engineering tasks and document the design in engineering deliverables in accordance with the project requirements;
- Give guidance to junior engineers;
- Check and review designs and drawings;
- Develop long term relationships with key stakeholders in client’s teams;
- Communicate the engineering requirements to the discipline Designers and other discipline engineers;
- Provides Safety In Design leadership in the discipline team continuously improving our safety culture; and
- Self-review and self-check design.
To be successful for this role you'll need\:
- 8+ years’ experience as a Civil Design Engineer, ideally within a resources industry environment;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent. Eligible for CPEng;
- Proficient use of related packages including but not limited to\: MS Office Suite;
- Desirable use of related drainage design packages including but not limited to\: XPSWMM, DRAINS, TuFlow; and
- Drainage Design, Road Design and/or Earthworks experience for mine sites preferred.
