Senior Client Manager (Employee Benefits)

About the Role

The client is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits professional to manage a portfolio of corporate clients, providing strategic advice across benefit design, renewals, insurer negotiations and program optimisation. The role combines client management, analytics, consulting and business development, with a strong focus on retention and portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate Employee Benefits clients, building relationships with HR, Finance and senior stakeholders.
• Lead the end-to-end renewal process, including strategy, placement, insurer negotiations, implementation and ongoing servicing.
• Analyse claims, utilisation, loss ratios, premiums and employee demographics to provide actionable recommendations.
• Advise clients on benefit design, benchmarking, cost optimisation and insurer strategy.
• Prepare and present renewal reports, programme reviews and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Manage complex service and claims escalations in partnership with insurers and internal teams.
• Support new business opportunities, tenders, proposals and client pitches.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities while ensuring strong governance, compliance and service standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Employee Benefits broking, consulting or client management experience.
• Strong experience managing corporate clients, renewals, placements and insurer negotiations.
• Good understanding of claims analytics, loss ratios, benefit benchmarking and program design.
• Strong commercial, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with flexible benefits, regional programs or benefit harmonisation would be advantageous.
