About the program
TIDES ACT is a specialist, trauma-informed service for young people aged 13–17 with complex needs. TIDES provides flexible, relationship-based care that meets young people where they are, combining therapeutic support, outreach and coordinated care within an interdisciplinary team.
Our approach recognises that engagement, healing and recovery are not always linear. We focus first on building trust, safety and stability, with evidence-informed trauma interventions introduced when a young person is ready. Young people are supported to have choice and a meaningful voice in their care, while TIDES works alongside families, carers and other services to provide connected, wraparound support.
This is an opportunity to help shape a growing service and contribute to a more flexible, responsive approach to supporting young people affected by trauma in the ACT.
