Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer
Summary
CML Team is sourcing a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and operate production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure — building CI/CD pipelines, running Kubernetes and Docker, and managing Terraform-based IaC. It's an application to a talent pool; engineers are matched to projects by experience, availability, location, and rate.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and operate reliable production cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security, and production reliability.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure
Manage and optimize cloud environments using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes
Deploy, configure, and operate production Kubernetes environments
Containerize and manage applications using Docker
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
Develop and maintain deployment workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
Manage Linux-based environments and automate operational tasks using Bash and scripting
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident resolution
Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and availability
Implement and maintain cloud security, IAM, networking, and access-control practices
Participate in architecture and infrastructure planning discussions
Take ownership of infrastructure and delivery processes
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Cloud, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure
Strong commercial experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Good knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and access management
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure and delivery
