Senior Cloud and Platform Engineer

The Senior Cloud & Platform Engineer is responsible for the delivery, modernisation and optimization of the underlying systems and networks that support our client's applications and services. This role will focus on stability, availability, security, of Serveless infrastructure and migration of hybrid/on-premises environments to a Cloud first approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying, and managing event-driven architecture
• Managing the configuration, security, networking, and deployment automation of serverless resources with Azure and Terraform.
• Building automated workflows and integrations with Azure Logic Apps
• Exposing and securing serverless APIs.
• Migrating monolithic or VM-based workloads to Serverless.
• Security, compliance and cost optimisation.
• Process Improvement & Automation.

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of proven experience with Microsoft, Cloud and Enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of cloud and event driven architecture best practices (Azure preferred), scripting for IaC and Serverless.
• Previous experience migrating monolithic or VM-based workloads to Serverless
• Strong previous knowledge of Microsoft server and OS administration, Microsoft 365 stack, Intune, backup, networking, firewalls and disaster recovery strategies.
• Security & Compliance experience
• Excellent communication and mentoring capability.
• AI assisted working would be great
