Senior Cloud Devops Engineer
Summary
A senior cloud role based in Randburg, South Africa, designing and scaling enterprise cloud platforms on AWS and Azure. Day to day involves Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, plus cloud governance, security, and FinOps to drive DevOps maturity across the organisation.
As a Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising modern cloud environments whilst driving Dev Ops maturity across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
Build, maintain, and optimise Infrastructure as Code environments using Terraform and Cloud Formation Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Bitbucket Pipelines, and AWS Code Pipeline Lead containerisation and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes Establish and improve cloud governance, security, compliance, and Fin Ops best practices Drive cloud transformation projects and contribute to enterprise platform strategy Define operational processes, monitoring standards, SLAs, and platform reliability frameworks Implement automation solutions that improve deployment efficiency and reduce operational overhead Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to support scalable, resilient production environments Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimisation and operational improvementsTech Stack & Environment:
