Role Overview
We are looking for a Sr Cloud Engineer to build, deploy, improve, and support Azure services for our existing environment and upcoming projects. The role combines hands-on engineering with solution design, requiring someone who has delivered Azure implementations and can turn project requirements into secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and deploy Azure compute, storage, networking, and related cloud services for new and existing workloads.
• Review the current environment and implement improvements to security, performance, reliability, and operations using Azure Well-Architected principles.
• Contribute to solution designs and implement landing zones, connectivity, access controls, governance policies, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Develop reusable Terraform code and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration changes.
• Troubleshoot deployment, connectivity, access, and performance issues, working with application, security, networking, and operations teams.
• Translate requirements into practical cloud designs, implement and test changes, and support delivery through operational handover.
• Monitor resource usage and costs, and apply tagging, budgets, rightsizing, and other cost optimization measures in line with FinOps practices.
• Maintain solution diagrams, design decisions, configuration records, deployment instructions, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a senior cloud engineer, with hands-on Azure solution design, deployment, and production support.
• Practical knowledge of Azure architecture principles, including landing zones, networking, security, governance, resiliency, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with virtual networks, routing, private endpoints, identity and access management, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, backup, and recovery.
• Experience using Terraform, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for repeatable infrastructure deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, permissions, and deployment failures.
• Understanding of Azure cost management and FinOps, with experience identifying and implementing optimization opportunities.
• Ability to explain design choices, collaborate with project teams, and produce clear technical documentation and handover material.

Preferred Certifications

• Relevant Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or AZ-400.
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate or equivalent.
