Senior Cloud Engineer

What you'll do

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with solid experience in AWS.

You will be responsible for serving and meeting the demand of development teams, managing the provisioning of cloud services, optimizing performance, deploying infrastructure as code, and working on microservices-based architectures.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You will master and deploy infrastructures using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible, automating tasks with Bash, Linux, and Git.
• AWS Network Design and Infrastructure: You will design and operate multi-account architectures (hub-and-spoke), managing AWS Transit Gateway and securing traffic through AWS Network Firewall.
• Operational Management and Security: You will administer the cloud infrastructure lifecycle: advanced IAM, WAF, Security Groups, GuardDuty, KMS, multi-cloud governance, costs, and disaster strategy.
• Development Support and Microservices: You will meet the demand of development teams regarding microservices infrastructures (AWS ECS, ECR), ensuring cohesion in performance, scalability, and security.
• Optimization and Monitoring: You will maintain effective alerts, metrics, and monitoring of production services; in addition to planning capacity based on utilization forecasts.
• Ticket-Based Operations: You will handle events, incidents, requests, and patches for standard infrastructure and fully automated pipeline environments.
• Documentation and Methodology: You will develop procedures, policies, and technical instructions working under Agile methodology in high-performance technological environments.

Nice to have

• Handling of ticketing tools such as Jira or Remedy.
• Official AWS certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
• Have a great capacity for organization, tenacity, and a taste for teamwork.
• Be resourceful, analytical, and deeply proactive in the search for improvements.
• Have high communicative capacity to interact with different technical and management profiles.

Education & certifications

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience in Cloud engineering, administration, and provisioning of services in AWS environments.
• Solid experience in Agile working methodologies.
• Basic experience in regulatory compliance and compliance frameworks (PCI, GDPR, ISO, DSS, DORA, etc.).

Technical Proficiency (Required)

• Infrastructure as Code: Advanced experience in Terraform.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Creation and maintenance of pipelines in GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Microservices in AWS: Practical knowledge in AWS ECR and AWS ECS.
• Networking in AWS: Advanced design and management of VPCs (public/private/isolated subnetting, Route Tables, NAT/Internet Gateways, ALB/NLB, and Route 53).
• Security in AWS: Application of policies with advanced IAM, KMS, WAF, Security Groups, and GuardDuty.
