Job Overview
The Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the organization's comprehensive cloud infrastructure. This position is central to elevating the IT architecture by operating within a hybrid environment that encompasses both local cloud providers and global cloud platforms. The role involves managing day-to-day operations (BAU) as well as spearheading new cloud initiatives to support continuous business growth and innovation.
Job Scope
- Cloud Infrastructure & Operations: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization's cloud platforms (both local and global) while fulfilling daily operational service requests.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Formulate policies and engineer frameworks for system monitoring, data backups, and comprehensive log management in alignment with industry standards.
- Project Execution: Lead and execute cloud-centric projects, including cloud migrations and the architectural design for new system deployments.
- Strategic Sourcing: Define, draft, and rigorously evaluate Terms of Reference (TOR) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of relevant technologies and services.
- Consulting & Presentation: Articulate and present technical concepts, system architectures, and strategic project roadmaps to stakeholders and internal teams.
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor system performance, implement continuous technical improvements, and manage cloud cost optimization strategies.
