Senior Cloud Engineer/Lead – Multi-Cloud Platform

Job Description:

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team responsible for building, securing, automating, and operating a modern multi-cloud platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and managing enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), while driving automation, security, reliability, scalability, and platform standardization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and troubleshoot secure, highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and OCI.
• Manage cloud networking, VPC/VCN design, DNS, routing, load balancing, IAM, and cloud governance services.
• Support production environments through incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Establish multi-cloud architecture standards, best practices, operational procedures, and reusable platform components.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Security, and Application Engineering teams.

Cloud Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and self-service infrastructure frameworks.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, compliance, patching, access management, and operational workflows.
• Create automation solutions using Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripts.

Identity & Access Management

• Implement and support enterprise IAM solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, Ping Identity, PingFederate, AWS IAM, and IAM Identity Center.
• Configure and troubleshoot complex SSO, Federation, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA, authentication, authorization, and user provisioning.
• Implement least-privilege access controls and support governance, reviews, and compliance requirements.

Systems Administration & Security

• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments including hardening, patching, monitoring, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Support cloud security initiatives including secrets management, certificates, encryption, TLS/SSL, and vulnerability remediation.
• Perform security assessments and partner with security teams to reduce infrastructure and IAM risk.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• 3+ years of technical leadership or people leadership experience.
• Strong production experience with at least two major cloud platforms and preferably all three AWS, GCP, and OCI.
• Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration experience.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Proxies, and TLS/SSL.
• Experience with enterprise IAM and modern authentication technologies.
• Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud security, and complex production troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps, AWS Security Specialty, GCP, or OCI certifications.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms and enterprise cloud landing zones.
• Experience with AWS Control Tower, Organizations, SCPs, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Harness, and modern CI/CD platforms.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise and multi-account multi-cloud environments.
