Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (1 year contract)
Salary: $8,000 – $12,000 per month
The Role:
Manage and support cloud infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, system performance, and the overall operating environment.
Implement observability practices, including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting, to improve visibility into system health and performance.
Support infrastructure operations through automation and proactive monitoring to identify and respond to incidents effectively.
Work closely with application teams to ensure cloud infrastructure supports business applications and operational requirements.
Incorporate resiliency principles such as fault tolerance, redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity into infrastructure designs.
Lead infrastructure projects and coordinate activities across internal stakeholders and external service providers.
Manage project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
Establish recovery and availability targets, including Recovery Time Objectives, Recovery Point Objectives, and Service Availability Objectives.
Conduct periodic failover testing to validate infrastructure availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Monitor vendor performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
Ensure vendors meet contractual, operational, and service delivery obligations.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
What are we looking for?
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure management.
Strong hands-on experience managing cloud platforms and infrastructure services.
Professional certification in Amazon Web Services cloud technologies.
Additional Microsoft Azure cloud certification would be an advantage.
Good knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure management, DevOps, automation, and observability frameworks.
Practical understanding of logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, and incident response practices.
Experience with infrastructure resiliency, disaster recovery, redundancy, and failover testing.
Strong project coordination and vendor management experience.
Proactive, committed, and able to work effectively with different stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
