Senior Cloud Solution Engineer

5 years minimum experience with the following – Azure Government Cloud, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory; strong understanding of cloud networking, security protocols, disaster recovery planning; Infrastructure as Code with ARM templates or Terraform; monitoring with Azure Monitor and Application Insights. Configure Azure Government Cloud infrastructure including QA, UAT, and Production environments with proper networking and connectivity setup. Implement comprehensive security systems including authentication protocols, disaster recovery processes, and redundancy planning for critical election periods. Set up monitoring and alerting systems using Azure Monitor and Application Insights with configurable thresholds for automated notifications. Design and document cloud architecture including networking configuration, security implementation, and environment setup procedures. Collaborate with development team to ensure proper cloud service integration and optimize performance for high-traffic election periods. Establish backup and disaster recovery procedures ensuring continuous availability during critical voting periods and system maintenance. Support deployment processes and provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure best practices and government compliance requirements.
