Marketing – Business Development Support
Full time employment - employed via Deel (Employer of Record) / Hybrid on-site
Key responsibilities:
-
Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners and customers across Hong Kong then hand qualified opportunities to PPRO's global sales team, who own all contracting and commercial negotiation
-
Gather market and competitive intelligence on China's payments landscape and share insights with PPRO's global sales and marketing teams
-
Coordinate event logistics, conferences and industry meet-ups that raise PPRO's profile in the region (PRC-based investors in offshore Payment Service Providers (PSPs) are welcome to attend alongside you)
-
Provide translation, scheduling and administrative support for global team members engaging with China-based contacts
-
Act as a liaison between prospective clients and PPRO's sales, solutions and client success teams during onboarding – you support the relationship; you don't own or negotiate the deal
-
Keep accurate records of relationship-building and marketing activity for internal reporting
-
Help localise marketing materials and messaging for the China market, working alongside PPRO's global marketing team
What we are looking for:
-
Experience in relationship-building, marketing or liaison roles within the payments or FinTech industry
-
A solid grasp of the FinTech payments space, and a clear view of how PPRO fits into that ecosystem
-
A track record of building trusted relationships and delivering high-quality support work
-
Strong communication and cross-cultural interpersonal skills
-
Comfortable working independently while coordinating with global, cross-cultural teams
-
Confidence liaising with different stakeholders and adapting your style to the audience
What we'd love to see:
-
A passion for challenging the status quo and driving positive change: we appreciate people who proactively look for better ways of doing things
-
Excellent communication skills: you thrive in international environments and connect easily with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
-
Experience with, or a strong interest in, marketing and CRM tools
What you can expect from us:
-
A people-first culture that gives you real autonomy and ownership over your work
-
Broad exposure to a global business and the chance to grow through meaningful challenges
-
A diverse, high-trust team spanning 50+ nationalities
Employment Structure:
This role is employed through Deel, PPRO's global Employer of Record (EoR) partner, in line with local law. Deel holds full on-paper responsibility for hiring, management, discipline and termination; your employment contract, reviews and any HR matters will run through Deel rather than directly through PPRO.
