I’m currently recruiting for a Client-Side Commissioning Manager (CXM) to join a major project in Sines, Portugal, on an 18-month contract.

This is a senior opportunity with real ownership — you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead your own commissioning team and play a key role in delivering the project through to completion.

The Opportunity

Role: Client-Side Commissioning Manager (CXM)

Location: Sines, Portugal

Contract: 18 months

Rotation: 10/4 or 3/1

Flights: Included

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and execution from the client side

• Manage and coordinate commissioning activities across the project

• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures and schedules

• Coordinate with the main contractor, MEP contractors, vendors and specialist commissioning teams

• Oversee FAT, SAT, pre-functional and functional testing

• Ensure systems are commissioned safely, correctly and in accordance with project requirements

• Review commissioning documentation, test scripts and method statements

• Track commissioning progress, issues, defects and outstanding actions

• Lead commissioning meetings and provide regular progress reporting to the client

• Support integrated systems testing and final project handover

• Identify commissioning risks and drive issues through to resolution

• Build, manage and develop your own commissioning team

We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have:

• Strong experience in data centre / mission critical commissioning

• Previous experience working in a client-side CXM / commissioning management position

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and commissioning processes

• Experience managing contractors and multiple commissioning disciplines

• Leadership experience with the ability to build and manage a commissioning team

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• The flexibility to work on a rotational basis in Portugal

• EU passport
