Senior Compliance Analyst
You will manage complex compliance operations in crypto trading, including enhanced due diligence, high-risk KYC and AML reviews, transaction-monitoring investigations, and Suspicious Transaction Report filings. You will analyze transaction data with SQL, improve detection rules and workflows with product and engineering partners, prepare reports and presentations, maintain audit-ready documentation, respond to regulatory matters, and mentor junior analysts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct enhanced due diligence and oversee high-risk KYC and AML reviews
- Review and approve alerts escalated by L1 analysts
- Draft and file Suspicious Transaction Reports with clear Grounds of Suspicion
- Identify and document suspicious transaction typologies
- Run SQL queries to investigate transaction data and discover patterns
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to automate alerts and refine detection rules
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for leadership, regulators, and auditors
- Create presentations on compliance metrics, typologies, and case studies
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and internal knowledge bases
- Train and mentor junior analysts
- Coordinate regulatory filings and track deadlines
- Respond to regulatory queries, third-party assessments, and internal audit findings
- Translate regulatory changes into internal processes
- Implement process improvements, risk scoring methods, red-flag detection, and customer behavior profiling
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 to 6 years of compliance experience in fintech, crypto, or traditional financial services
- Experience with Indian KYC, AML, and Suspicious Transaction Report regulatory guidelines
- Experience leading transaction-monitoring investigations
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace
- Data analysis and investigative thinking
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Presentation and compliance documentation skills
- Ability to identify risk patterns and implement scalable detection methods
