Moment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of FPRT a Senior Composite Process Technology Manager for the new composite production in Vojens, Denmark. We are looking for a composite specialist with real depth in the technology who can convert transferred know-how into controlled, scalable and repeatable industrial processes. The role suits you if you want to build a production from the ground up and would rather build processes where little is written down yet than step into a production where everything is already in place.

Your everyday at FPRT

You report to the Chief Production Officer, Composite Manufacturing, and you build and lead the composite technology team of composite process engineers and materials and polymer engineers. You work closely with Production, Quality and NDT, HSE, Maintenance and Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain, and you support the competency and qualification standards for supervisors, technicians and operators together with Production and HR. You are the technical authority for composite manufacturing processes, with the mandate to define process parameters, technical standards and work instructions, and to require technical containment, a process review or a production stop when process integrity, product quality or safety is at risk.

Production starts from an existing process that is being transferred to Vojens, and experienced specialists from the group come to the site to hand it over. You lead the technical transfer and convert it into FPRT-controlled specifications, work instructions, training content and qualification requirements, and you define the technical requirements for equipment, tooling, fixtures, utilities and production conditions through trials, pilot builds and ramp-up. You make sure FPRT has clear local ownership of the critical processes and keeps the technical knowledge for the long term. From day one, you are expected to spot where a step can be done smarter and to have the composite understanding to back that view.

Your time is split between the desk and the floor. You own process flows, critical parameters, material requirements and process-control standards, and you define process qualification, inspection points, acceptance criteria and quality gates together with Quality and NDT. When a process starts to drift, you are the primary escalation point: you go to the floor, lead root-cause analysis, non-conformity investigations and corrective actions, and turn the lessons into updated standards and training. The weight of the role lies in the moulding stage and the material side of the process: resin systems, reinforcements such as carbon fibre, adhesives, curing and the conditions that decide whether porosity and voids are designed out or created. You need a sound grasp of finishing, but your depth is in why a part comes out of the mould as it does.

This is a greenfield site. New buildings are under construction on the site, systems are being selected, and support functions such as maintenance, IT and HR are being built in parallel. In the first period you will help shape how things are done well beyond your own field, and the composite team grows as production scales towards stable serial production.

The role is based in Vojens, and being on site is essential during the build-up. English is the working language in instructions and with colleagues across the group. Danish is a strong advantage in daily life on the floor, and if you are not fluent yet, your willingness to learn it counts.

And then there are the benefits:

Real authority over the processes you own, greenfield impact with no legacy to work around, a professional, international environment with a clear mission and purpose, a modern office with gym, sauna and social spaces, and top-of-market compensation for the right experience.

To succeed in the role…

…you do not need to have carried a manager title or to come from defence. What matters is that you know composite technology in depth: why a resin system behaves as it does, what creates strength and what creates defects, and how the environment affects the part. You may come from composite manufacturing in wind energy, marine, aerospace, defence or another high-performance industry, and work today in process or manufacturing engineering, production, materials or as a technical composite specialist. You also take pride in:

  • challenging an established method, including one handed over by experienced colleagues, and agreeing on a better answer together.

  • taking ownership and making decisions where little is written down yet.

  • going to the floor when a process drifts and staying until the root cause is found.

  • turning know-how into standards, instructions and training that engineers and operators can work from.

  • developing engineers through technical reviews, coaching and structured problem solving.

What you need to bring:

  • Either a relevant technical degree or equivalent strong industrial experience, and at least five years in composite manufacturing, process engineering, manufacturing engineering or materials engineering.

  • Practical experience with industrial manufacturing of fibre-reinforced composite components and thermoset resin systems such as epoxy, phenolic or other thermosets, and hands-on experience with one or more of resin infusion or transfer processes, filament winding, lay-up, moulding, curing, bonding or composite machining and finishing.

  • A proven track record of developing, transferring, industrialising, qualifying or stabilising manufacturing processes into repeatable production, with a solid grip on process control, documentation, process risk assessment, root-cause analysis, non-conformity handling and technical change management.

  • Experience leading, mentoring or coaching engineers and production specialists, or acting as their technical authority.

  • Fluent English, written and spoken. Danish is a strong advantage, or the willingness to learn it.

It is an advantage if you:

  • come from advanced composite manufacturing in wind energy, marine, aerospace, defence, pressure vessels, automotive or another high-performance application.

  • have worked with large or structurally critical components, such as aerospace and defence structures, casings, filament-wound products, UAV components or wind turbine blades.

  • have taken part in a greenfield factory, a new production line, a technology transfer or a major ramp-up.

  • live within commuting distance of 6500 Vojens, Denmark.
