Position Summary
Redtree is seeking a Senior Computer Analyst, engaged as an independent contractor, to support business analytics, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data/IT initiatives for power generation clients. This role sits at the intersection of power generation operations, IT/OT convergence, and business analytics, supporting outage and materials management systems, regulatory compliance, and executive-level reporting.
You Will...
Support power generation business analytics, turning operational and financial data into actionable insight.
Support regulatory compliance and records retention, including FERC-related documentation and reporting.
Support IT/OT convergence initiatives, including secure architecture considerations across IT and operational technology environments.
Coordinate governance activities and manage stakeholder relationships across technical, financial, and operational teams.
Support financial planning and analysis, including budget-versus-actuals tracking and reporting.
Build and maintain KPI dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Support outage, work, and materials management processes using systems such as SAP, Maximo, or WAM.
Curate and structure data using SQL, Hadoop, or similar platforms to support downstream analytics and reporting.
Develop data visualizations and data-driven narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support business process analytics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Support enterprise application development to extend or maintain internal tools and systems.
If You...
Have 15+ year of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or a related field; prior experience in power generation or utilities is a strong plus.
Have experience with regulatory compliance and records retention, particularly FERC-related requirements.
Have exposure to IT/OT convergence and secure architecture in an industrial or utility environment.
Have experience with financial planning and analysis, including budget-versus-actuals reporting.
Are proficient in dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Have experience with outage, work, or materials management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or WAM.
Are proficient in data curation and structuring using SQL, Hadoop, or similar tools.
Have strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
Have experience with business process analytics and process improvement.
Have experience with enterprise application development or supporting internal tools and systems.
Are comfortable working independently as a contractor, on an as-needed, project-driven basis; prior experience consulting or contracting in a similar analyst role is a plus.
Are legally authorized to work in the United States as an independent contractor.
