Senior Consultant / Consultant - Functional Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Consultant / Consultant - Functional Analyst based in India.

This is an opportunity to help life sciences organizations modernize quality and manufacturing processes through innovative cloud solutions.
You will work directly with customers to understand business needs and translate them into effective functional solutions.
The role combines business analysis, process design, solution configuration, and customer-facing consulting.
You’ll contribute to implementations across regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences environments.
Working within an Agile delivery model, you’ll collaborate closely with QA, business, IT, and technical teams.
The position offers significant ownership across the full engagement lifecycle, from requirements discovery through implementation and delivery.

• Participate in customer projects focused on designing and deploying quality and manufacturing applications within regulated life sciences environments.
• Conduct workshops with customers and collaborate with QA, business, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and model business processes.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, functional specifications, workflows, and other implementation documentation.
• Design, prototype, configure, and document quality and content management solutions using appropriate platform capabilities and best practices.
• Leverage out-of-the-box functionality and proven implementation approaches to develop scalable and effective solution strategies.
• Contribute to sprint planning and Agile delivery processes, supporting continuous and iterative implementation.
• Represent the professional services function across multiple engagements and workstreams, including solution design, configuration, data migration, and systems integration.
• Work closely with customers throughout the engagement lifecycle to understand challenges, deliver solutions, and ensure successful adoption.
• Support the implementation of quality processes such as deviations, change controls, laboratory investigations, audits, and supplier quality management.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach while balancing business requirements, regulatory expectations, timelines, and implementation priorities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst working with Veeva eQMS applications in regulated life sciences or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong understanding of Veeva eQMS processes, particularly Deviation Management, Change Control, Lab Investigations including OOS/OOT, Audits, and Supplier Quality Management.
• Hands-on experience with platform tasks such as process configuration, user management, metadata, and workflow configuration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to quickly understand complex business requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with business, QA, IT, and technical teams.
• Ability to work at pace, take ownership, and move from requirements discovery through solution design and implementation.
• Comfortable working within Agile methodologies and managing responsibilities across multiple projects or workstreams.
• Knowledge of quality and manufacturing operations within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or broader life sciences industry is an advantage.
• Must be legally authorized to work in India; employment visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
• Willingness and ability to travel when required for customer engagements, with proximity to an airport considered beneficial.
