The Role

As a Senior Consultant within our Data & Analytics practice, you’ll support an AI transformation workstream spanning data governance, operating model design and use-case assessment within banking.

You’ll work across the end-to-end data journey, assessing the current state, reviewing data ownership and governance, identifying gaps and translating your findings into practical requirements and recommendations.

You’ll combine strong banking data governance expertise with business analysis skills to help clients establish the structures, accountabilities and controls needed to support effective AI-enabled ways of working, with appropriate human judgement and responsible AI guardrails.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead current-state assessments across data governance, ownership, operating models and the end-to-end data journey.
  • Assess AI use cases, identifying data requirements, dependencies, governance considerations and opportunities for business value.
  • Identify governance and operating model gaps and translate findings into clear, practical requirements and recommendations.
  • Work with business, data and technology stakeholders to define ownership, accountabilities, controls and decision-making processes.
  • Use approved AI tools and AI-enabled workflows where appropriate to accelerate analysis and improve insight, while maintaining human review, governance and appropriate audit trails.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience delivering data governance initiatives within banking or financial services.
  • Experience assessing and designing data operating models, including ownership, accountability and governance structures.
  • Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to turn complex findings into clear requirements and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience assessing business or data use cases and understanding their implications across the end-to-end data journey.
  • A practical understanding of responsible AI principles and the importance of governance, human-in-the-loop judgement, review and escalation when applying AI-enabled approaches.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience supporting AI transformation, AI governance or responsible AI initiatives within financial services.
  • Knowledge of banking data domains, data ownership models and data management frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and current-state or gap-assessment sessions with senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, Agentic AI or automation and their practical application within governed financial-services environments.
  • Experience translating strategic data or AI objectives into practical operating model changes.
