As a Senior Consultant Developer, you’ll work at the intersection of software engineering, consulting, and customer innovation.
You’ll help organizations translate complex business needs into practical, cloud-based solutions and working software.
The role combines hands-on full-stack development with customer engagement, solution design, and technical leadership.
You’ll prototype and validate innovative capabilities in real-world environments while influencing future product improvements.
You’ll also lead functional and integration workstreams, ensuring strong delivery across quality, scope, cost, and timelines.
Mentoring junior consultants and collaborating with architects, product teams, and customer stakeholders will be central to your impact.

Accountabilities:
- Prototype, validate, and deliver innovative cloud features and solutions in real-world customer environments.
- Work directly with customers to understand use cases, capture requirements, validate solutions, and support successful technology adoption.
- Own development activities across the full technology stack, including backend and frontend components.
- Lead functional and integration workstreams, taking responsibility for solution design, implementation, delivery, quality, and technical outcomes.
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable solution designs, working software, and clear design documentation.
- Design and estimate solutions for medium-complexity product gaps, enhancements, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Development teams to provide feedback and identify opportunities for continuous product and solution improvement.
- Act as a trusted technical and consulting partner throughout customer transformation initiatives.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants on delivery practices, technical implementation, methodology, and best practices.
- Contribute to project planning and accurately estimate and deliver assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Support a culture of ownership, accountability, transparency, agility, and continuous learning.
- 5+ years of experience in technology consulting, solution development, or property and casualty (P&C) insurance technology delivery.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience implementing Guidewire solutions.
- Strong full-stack software development experience across modern backend and frontend technologies.
- Experience with modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and application packaging.
- Proven ability to translate complex requirements into effective solution designs and production-ready software.
- Experience contributing to functional design and requirements documentation and collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring colleagues and supporting the professional development of junior team members.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with project leadership and customer stakeholders.
- Ability to lead technical or functional workstreams and take ownership of delivery, quality, cost, scope, and timelines.
- Strong estimation, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- A balanced consulting mindset that combines technical depth with customer empathy and commercial awareness.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort working in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.
- Guidewire Ace certification is a plus.
- Experience leading functional or integration areas or contributing to early-stage design and inception activities is desirable.
- CAD $84,000–$105,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, skills, education, training, location, and other relevant factors.
