Primary responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), providing expert clinical care to critically ill and premature newborns.
- Manage complex neonatal cases using advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and multidisciplinary neonatal teams.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to improve neonatal outcomes.
- Engage with families, providing education and support regarding newborn care and treatment plans.
- Participate in clinical research and continuous professional development activities.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization in neonatology.
- Board certification in neonatology or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in neonatal care with senior consultant or leadership roles.
- Expertise in managing advanced newborn and NICU care, including ventilator management and resuscitation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Valid medical license to practice in Abu Dhabi or eligibility to obtain one.
- Commitment to research, education, and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge.
