Senior Consultant, SAP MDG
Job purpose
Ensure an effective Master Data Governance (MDG) product that supports Alfanar’s global data strategy. Maintaining high-quality, compliant, and well-integrated master data across systems, enabling consistent, secure, and reliable data for enterprise operations.
Key accountability areas
Product strategy & vision:
Define the product roadmap for enterprise data governance tools (e.g. Pilog, SAP MDG).
Align with global data strategy and business objectives.
Master data process ownership:
Own end-to-end MDG product lifecycle.
Implement governance rules, workflows, validations, and controls as per the business owners decisions.
Integration & architecture:
Oversee integration with SAP S/4HANA, Data Dictionary, APIs, data services, and legacy systems.
Ensure compatibility across Alfanar eco-system.
Data quality & cleansing:
Recommend and implement upon business owner approval data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment initiatives.
Partner with data stewards to maintain high-quality master data, qualify the dictionary.
Global data migration:
Define migration strategy, mapping rules, transformation logic.
Oversee cutover and mock tests for global rollouts.
Stakeholder engagement:
Act as liaison between business, IT, and data teams.
Collect requirements, manage and execute backlog, and prioritize features.
Risk & compliance:
Ensure adherence to GDPR, SOX, internal policies, and data governance frameworks (ISO/DAMA).
Product lifecycle management:
Responsible for delivering MDG product features, enhancements, and integrations on time.
Ensure continuous improvements and innovation.

Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.

Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, safety, and environment:
Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Academic qualification
Bachelor degree in Information Management Sciences & Systems or any relevant field.
