About the company
established main contractor in Singapore, is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the contractual and commercial aspects of building and construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contractual obligations, procurement, cost control and contract administration while ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full spectrum of contract administration, including tender preparation, contract negotiation, award and post-contract management.
Review and administer main contracts, subcontract agreements and other contractual documents.
Oversee project commercial matters, including cost control, budget monitoring, claims and variation orders.
Evaluate and negotiate contractual terms, variations, extension of time (EOT) claims and final accounts.
Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks and implement measures to protect project profitability.
Manage subcontractor procurement, tender evaluation, appointment and performance.
Work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and other stakeholders to resolve contractual and commercial issues.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies and relevant industry regulations.
Provide commercial advice and recommendations to senior management on contractual risks and project matters.
Lead and guide the contracts team to ensure effective contract management and timely project delivery.
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in contract and commercial management within the building and construction industry.
Experience working with established main contractors in Singapore will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including SIA, PSSCOC and FIDIC.
Familiar with tendering, procurement, cost management, variation claims and final accounts.
