DJS Financial Services is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Support Specialist / Team Lead to lead a team of acquisition professionals supporting a federal government client. This position provides senior-level cradle-to-grave acquisition support while serving as the day-to-day leader for a team of Contract Support Specialists.
The Team Lead is responsible for providing technical guidance, quality oversight, workload coordination, and mentoring to acquisition support staff while performing complex federal contracting assignments throughout the acquisition lifecycle. This role requires extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, exceptional leadership abilities, and experience supporting high-value, complex procurements.
This is a non-personal services position. The Team Lead provides leadership to contractor personnel and acquisition support to the client but does not make contractual decisions or obligate the Government.
- Lead and provide technical direction to a team of Contract Support Specialists.
- Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure timely completion of contract deliverables.
- Mentor, coach, and provide quality assurance for acquisition documentation prepared by team members.
- Perform cradle-to-grave acquisition support for complex federal procurements.
- Provide acquisition planning support, market research, and procurement strategy recommendations.
- Prepare and review solicitation packages, statements of work, performance work statements, independent government cost estimates, acquisition plans, and related documentation.
- Support source selection activities, proposal evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
- Analyze complex acquisition issues and recommend compliant procurement solutions.
- Conduct cost and price analyses and evaluate procurement strategies.
- Support contract administration activities including modifications, option exercises, funding actions, closeouts, and performance documentation.
- Collaborate with program managers, technical personnel, legal counsel, and contracting officials to support procurement objectives.
- Develop standardized acquisition processes and improve procurement documentation.
- Prepare management reports, procurement metrics, and contract status updates.
- Ensure acquisition files comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), applicable supplemental regulations, and organizational policies.
- Support audits, procurement reviews, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Identify process improvements that increase acquisition efficiency and compliance.
