Senior Control Electronics Engineer
Summary
Senior engineer who designs and owns flight-critical control electronics for aerospace/defense flight vehicles — motor controllers, actuator drivers, and mixed-signal circuits — from PCB design through bring-up, validation, and production. Key tools include Altium, ARM microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded C.
About the Role
Join a fast-moving defense and aerospace team developing real-time electronic control systems for flight vehicles. You will own flight-critical hardware from design through validation and integration.
What You'll Do
Design control electronics boards, including motor controllers, actuator drivers, and feedback and control loops.
Own hardware end to end, from PCB design through bring-up, integration, debugging, validation, and production.
Develop microcontroller, microprocessor, and mixed-signal circuits for processing and real-time control.
Work closely with GNC, avionics, and flight software teams to integrate hardware into vehicle systems.
Define requirements and drive technical decisions across the hardware development process.
What We're Looking For
Three to 15 years of experience designing control or power electronics hardware, including motor drivers or actuator controllers.
A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, and debugging control or power electronics PCBAs, including analog and mixed-signal circuits.
PCB design experience from schematic capture through layout; Altium is preferred.
Familiarity with technologies such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, ARM microcontrollers, CAN, DDR, FPGA, and embedded C.
Experience in a fast-paced hardware environment and background in flight hardware or other high-reliability fields such as aerospace, defense, or automotive.
U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
