Must Haves:

• 3+ years of cost-accounting experience within manufacturing
• Standard costing
• Manufacturing variance analysis
• Inventory accounting and inventory valuation
• Month-end cost-accounting close
• Strong general-ledger and reconciliation knowledge
• ERP experience
• Ability to partner directly with plant/operations leadership
• Strong Excel and analytical skills

Preferred:

• Packaging, semiconductor, industrial manufacturing or related environment
• Bill of Materials / routing experience
• Sage X3
• Inventory cycle-count and physical-inventory experience
• Process-improvement and automation mindset
• CMA, CPA or equivalent advanced credential

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support its growing manufacturing operation in Manor, Texas.

This fully onsite position will partner closely with finance and plant leadership to support manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, standard costs, variance analysis and month-end close.

Responsibilities will include maintaining and analyzing manufacturing costs, supporting inventory valuation, reviewing production and purchase variances, performing cost-accounting close activities, reconciling inventory and related general-ledger accounts and providing financial analysis to operational leadership.

The successful candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting fundamentals along with the curiosity and analytical ability to identify cost drivers, investigate issues and improve processes.
