Senior Costing Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Costing Manager to join our team at our Ghaziabad location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in product costing and estimation within the manufacturing sector. This role is critical in ensuring accurate costing and pricing strategies that align with our business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct product costing and estimation based on engineering drawings and specifications. - Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and calculate material weights, consumption, nesting, scrap, and wastage. - Estimate costs associated with raw materials, cutting, fabrication, welding, machining, casting, heat treatment, painting, labor, and overheads, including packing and freight where applicable. - Build and maintain machine-hour rates, labor rates, and overhead absorption for manufacturing units. - Create standard costing sheets by product family and maintain a historical cost database. - Provide pricing recommendations with margin logic for quotations and compare estimated versus actual costs on completed orders to identify discrepancies. - Collaborate with the Purchase, Production, and Sales teams to ensure accurate and timely quotes. Required Skills: - Strong ability to read mechanical and general arrangement drawings. - Hands-on experience in costing fabrication, machining, casting, and industrial components. - Knowledge of materials such as MS, SS, Bright Bar, Hardox 450/500, and engineering steels. - Proficiency in Advanced Excel and familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software for reading drawings. - Experience with ERP systems is preferred. - Excellent communication skills to explain cost and margin details to stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and a proven track record of 8-12 years in costing or estimation within a manufacturing environment.
