Senior Counsel Product and Commercial
You will advise product and engineering teams on blockchain-enabled financial products throughout their lifecycle. You will assess legal and regulatory considerations, negotiate commercial agreements, support strategic transactions, develop scalable legal processes, deliver training, and coordinate with external counsel.
Responsibilities
- Advise product and engineering teams on the development, launch, and operation of blockchain-enabled financial products
- Provide legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle
- Identify legal and regulatory considerations and develop scalable solutions with cross-functional teams
- Advise on tokenized products, protocols, and related services
- Assess legal and regulatory implications of product features and strategic opportunities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements
- Support strategic partnerships and commercial initiatives
- Provide guidance on marketing, promotional, and public communications
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and enforcement developments relevant to digital assets and financial services
- Ensure adherence to applicable legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop legal frameworks, templates, playbooks, and processes
- Prepare and deliver legal and compliance training
- Support corporate transactions, governance, financing, and strategic initiatives
- Coordinate with external legal counsel
Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited United States law school
- 5–8+ years of legal experience at a major law firm or high-growth blockchain, fintech, or financial services company
- Knowledge of United States securities laws and capital markets transactions
- Experience counseling product teams on financial, fintech, or blockchain-based products
- Knowledge of commercial transactions, securities, anti-money laundering, tax, and other financial laws and regulations
- Understanding of the blockchain industry
- Analytical, research, drafting, and negotiation skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with corporate transactions, governance, financings, or mergers and acquisitions
