Senior Creative Strategy & UX Designer, Energy Products
Team: Woven City Management
Location: Tokyo
Commitment: Employee
Workplace Type: hybrid
TEAM
We do this by bringing together a diverse community of people with a shared passion for the future of mobility to co-create, develop and refine innovative products and services. This cross-section of social infrastructure, mobility, and people provides a unique opportunity for inventors, residents and visitors to interact seamlessly with new technologies throughout daily life in an environment that emulates a real city.
Our team is responsible for planning, developing, and launching a new energy management product for BEV owners. The product connects vehicles, homes, electricity plans, charging behavior, and energy data to help customers use energy more intelligently. Through technologies such as V2H, smart charging, home energy optimization, and data-driven recommendations, we aim to transform the parked vehicle into a meaningful part of everyday life.
This is not only a technology project. It is also a new customer experience, a new business model, and a new brand story for Toyota and Lexus. We are working across product management, software development, energy operations, dealer operations, UX, brand, and business strategy to create a service that makes energy feel simple, personal, and valuable.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The product sits at the intersection of mobility, home energy, software, sustainability, and daily life. While the technology and business structure are complex, the customer experience must feel simple, trustworthy, and meaningful. You will help make this complexity understandable for customers, dealers, executives, partners, and internal teams.
You will work across strategy and execution: developing product and business narratives, defining the visual and experiential direction, creating materials for stakeholders, and contributing hands-on to UX/UI design, prototypes, user journeys, and communication assets.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, business development teams, and external partners to ensure the product is not only technically feasible and commercially viable, but also desirable, understandable, and differentiated.
You do not need to be an energy expert, but you should be willing to quickly understand the fundamentals of BEV charging, V2H, home energy systems, electricity plans, and energy management services.
