Our client is a global engineering and manufacturing company that designs and supplies precision equipment, technology, and services for the energy industry, supporting oil, gas, and emerging energy markets.
Job Description
- Manage the end-to-end order fulfilment process, including handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing sales orders, reviewing purchase orders/contracts, and ensuring timely order confirmation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by providing pre-and post-sales support, resolving enquiries, tracking order progress, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance to ensure smooth execution of customer orders, material availability, deliveries, and payment follow-ups.
- Support business growth by promoting products and services, identifying customer requirements, analysing sales performance, and contributing to pricing and commercial strategies.
- Assist with sourcing ancillary materials, monitoring inventory and order status, and preparing reports to support production planning and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate sales, pricing, and commercial documentation while ensuring compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and HSE policies.
- Apply strong technical, organisational, and communication skills to manage multiple priorities, interpret engineering documentation, collaborate effectively across functions, and deliver timely customer solutions.
The Successful Applicant
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in customer-facing support functions, such as Customer Service, Inside Sales, or Order Fulfilment within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or other technical industries.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM), with an understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in supporting sourcing and supply chain activities, while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure seamless order execution.
- Good understanding of commercial workflows and documentation, including quotation preparation, contract review, purchase order management, and invoicing.
