POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Customer Success Managers (CSM) help Sayari’s existing clients effectively leverage Sayari solutions and deepen our relationships within client organizations. The CSM plays a vital role in ensuring that our customer fully realizes a return on their investment in Sayari products by understanding our clients’ priorities and designing strategies to prove our platform's and data's value while continuously feeding technical requirements to our engineering team. The CSM collaborates with key stakeholders to successfully onboard and train new clients, ensure product adoption, minimize churn risk, and nurture the relationships between Sayari and its clients. By transforming our clients’ organizations through user adoption of Sayari’s suite of solutions, the CSM creates the conditions for optimal product value realization and renewal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Client Onboarding & Retention: Drive product adoption, renewal rates, and expansion within a portfolio of Tokyo-based and regional Japanese enterprise clients.

  • Workflow Integration: Embed Sayari’s solutions into local client workflows by understanding their specific organizational structures, regulatory requirements, and business priorities.

  • Localization & Communication: Serve as a bilingual liaison, delivering high-touch customer education, conducting business reviews (QBRs), and presenting product updates fluently in Japanese (Native/N1 level) and English (Business level).

  • Domain Knowledge & Trust: Act as a trusted advisor on commercial risk intelligence, supply chain transparency, corporate risk, compliance, and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).

  • Cross-Functional Feedback: Gather market intelligence and local feedback from Japanese clients to inform Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams on Japan-specific requirements (e.g., local data privacy laws, Japanese corporate governance standards).

  • Escalation & Account Health: Coordinate internally to proactively address client inquiries, mitigate churn risk, and demonstrate clear ROI to executive stakeholders (including Bucho / Shucho level leaders).

  • Travel: Travel up to 15% within Japan and the APAC region as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience: 3–7 years of Customer Success, Account Management, or Solutions Consulting experience within a SaaS, Data & Analytics, RegTech, or Risk Intelligence environment.

  • Language Proficiency: Native-level Japanese (keigo/business etiquette required for enterprise client management) and Business-level English (for internal global alignment).

  • Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of Risk & Compliance, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Supply Chain Risk (e.g., forced labor, sanctions, ESG compliance), or Anti-Money Laundering (AML/KYC).

  • Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing Japanese enterprise accounts (Nikkei 225 companies, major trading houses/Sogo Shosha, or financial institutions).

  • Data Literacy: Comfort working with complex corporate ownership datasets, graph analytics, or open-source intelligence (OSINT).
